Miss Amy has loved ballet ever since she began taking classes at 3 years old. She received her ballet training in the San Francisco Bay Area. She loved both the training and performing aspects of ballet. She especially enjoyed performing in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. In college she knew she wanted to take every dance class available, while also taking early childhood education classes. Throughout college she continued her ballet training, while taking additional classes in jazz, ballroom, modern, folk, hula & Tahitian, with the unique opportunity to perform on stage at the Polynesian Cultural Center. She received her degree in MFHD with a focus on early childhood education & development. Miss Amy has been teaching children in various settings the last 25 years.
Teaching at Studio R has been a great opportunity to combine her passion for ballet with her early childhood education knowledge, as she helps the next generation of dancers to learn classical ballet. She loves teaching all her students at Studio R Ballet as well as continuing her training in Misss Robbin’s adult ballet classes.
